The Feather 🪶

This morning, when I opened the door to my car, a single feather was resting on the floor mat. Perfectly placed for me to notice. I paused for a moment, carefully picked it up and held it in my hand, curious where it had come from.

Feathers show up for me at unexpected times, and every time they do, I can’t help but wonder if there’s a deeper message for me.

Across many cultures and belief systems, feathers are seen as messages — symbols of love, guidance, protection, and encouragement. They represent lightness and freedom, but also grounding: a connection between where we’ve come from and where we’re going.

When I held the feather, it felt like reassurance that I’m on the right path, even if I can’t see the whole road ahead. A reminder that there is support around me — in ways I may not always recognize until a moment like this makes me pause and remember.

Sometimes the universe offers tiny reminders right when we need them. A sign to slow down. To notice where we are.

We don’t always know or understand the meaning right away — we simply feel its importance.
