The Map Inside the Seed: Growth in Uncertain Seasons 🌱

img 6421

There’s a lot happening right now — in the world, and in many of our personal lives. Some days can feel heavier than others.

Today, though, I noticed something small that made me pause.

Resting on top of the snow was a helicopter seed from a maple tree. Holding it up to the light, I noticed something special — tiny veins running through its papery wing. Even separated from the tree, it carried a map for its future.

Simple moments like this leave me in awe of nature. They remind me of how much there is to learn when we slow down and notice.

The maple casts off its seeds without knowing where they’ll land. Some are carried farther by shifting winds. Some rest where the conditions aren’t yet right. Still, each one holds its own map — the quiet direction of how it will grow, once it finds the right environment.

Life doesn’t always carry us where we expect, and not knowing where we’ll land can feel unsettling. But like the seed, we move moment by moment. When the conditions are right, we can take hold — and that’s where our growth begins.
