When things feel heavy, my mind finds peace by visiting the ocean.
There, I can feel the soft sand between my toes, taste the salty air, hear the sound of the waves, and feel the breeze — sometimes even the wild winds — as I walk and search for small treasures.
I don’t live anywhere near the beach now, but I do have a few treasures I’ve collected over the years. Holding them reminds me of those beautiful places and happy, carefree times. Some days, that’s how I find my way back to calm.
